Lesson 5 of 5 · 3 min

WhatsApp messages

A paid add-on: your customers get their booking messages on WhatsApp as well as by email, from your own number.

  1. Settings → WhatsApp → WhatsApp add-on

WhatsApp is an add-on to your plan: £2 a month in the UK, Rs 600 in Pakistan, $2.50 everywhere else, plus each message, in the same money as your plan. Once you've subscribed, an owner or admin presses Turn on in Settings, then WhatsApp; it's on your next invoice, prorated.
  2. What each message costs

Each message is billed by the customer's country and the kind of message: about a booking, or offers and news. On the UK plan a booking message to a customer in the UK is 5.5p; on the Pakistan plan, one to a customer in Pakistan is Rs 19. A reply within 24 hours of theirs is 1p (Rs 4 in Pakistan), and so is a booking message sent in that time. Settings → WhatsApp lists every country in your own money, and it's billed monthly with your plan.
  3. Not subscribed yet? Try it with a pretend number: nothing is really sent. Once the add-on is on, press Connect WhatsApp, log in to Facebook with the account that runs your business page, and pick the number you already use. Your chats stay on your phone.
  4. WhatsApp's rule: a message you start must use a template Meta has approved. Trazr's come ready for confirmations, reservations, payment nudges and receipts, reminders, moves, cancellations, lapsed holds, waitlist offers and the thank-you, and go to Meta the moment you connect. Approval usually takes minutes.
  5. Automation → a flow → + → Send a WhatsApp

Switch on Also send on WhatsApp and every customer who gave a phone number gets those messages on WhatsApp too; the emails still go. Payment not matched, Waitlist joined and Enquiry received stay email only. Or add Send a WhatsApp as a step in any automation.
  6. Once a customer writes to you, you can reply in your own words for 24 hours, at a reply's price. If they reply STOP, Trazr sends them nothing more on WhatsApp, and START brings them back.
