Lesson 2 of 4 · 3 min

Deposits and what's paid up front

Take nothing, a percentage, a fixed deposit or the full price to confirm a booking, service by service.

  1. Service → Pricing & payment → Paid up front

Each service says what must be paid to confirm a booking, under Pricing & payment. The rest is collected later, often on the day.
  2. A 50% deposit on two spaces at £35.00 each: £35.00 to confirm, £35.00 still to collect. A fixed deposit is per person, or per booking if the service is Charged per booking, and never more than the total. Percentages round half up to the penny.
  3. Under the deposit, How customers can pay ticks which ways this service offers. Untick everything but Pay at the venue, say, and it's cash on the day only.
  4. Prices are kept on each booking when it's made, so changing a price later never changes what someone already booked.
